I started my piercing apprenticeship under Johnkid at The Piercing Lounge in Madison. He has always been my biggest supporter and best teacher. My apprenticeship took a lot longer than his other apprentices, he took extra time to make sure I would be the best. I started out doing play piercings and then learned flesh hook suspensions. Johnkid sort of passed the reigns on to me and I started doing more suspensions shows in Madison and started D4DR Suspension Crew.
Eventually, I started traveling to visit other piercers and met Mr Bob Jones at Insight Studios and Johnny Valez at Native Rituals. They gave me binders of piercing information which they collected. Mr Bob Jones gave me a copy of the APP training Manual and additional piercing information.
I was able to go to the 2009 APP convention in Las Vegas. I took as many classes as I could afford or had time to. I learned new techniques for Lips, Noses, and Navels from Patrick Tidwell, the Ninja Piercer. Since then I have been more consistent with all lip piercings including Marilyns, Philtrums and Lowbrets.
I left The Piercing Lounge in October in order to help start Tailor Made Tattoo and Body Modification. I wanted more control in my life and in piercing decisions. I wanted to run the first APP shop in Wisconsin and use the highest standard for jewelry. We will never ever ever have externally threaded jewelry.
