I just put in an order to BVLA, Body Vision Los Angeles. Adam is an Accredited Jewelry Professional from the Gemologist Institute of America. With their Motto of “If you can dream it… We can make it!” They’ve proven their ability to create a wide assortment of high end body jewelry with precious metals and gems. Their jewelry surpasses anything I’ve seen before. They’re also an APP corporate member, which means they’re a supporting part of our piercing community. Adam and Nick taught a class on precious metals at APP in 2010.

It all started after I sold my first gold diamond nostril jewelry. I needed more. As usual, I called my good friend Mr Bob Jones and Johnny Velez and asked their advise. Bob Jones said, there is only one place to get high end jewelry, Body Vision. He said to ask for Adam. Once I told Adam that Bob Jones referred me, he was enthused to get started and gave me a list of options.

After a month of going through the catalog with my partner Leslie, we’ve completed an elaborate selection of high end threaded ends, pins, and captive beads. It was quite the learning process for the both of us. Our first order list was ridiculous. Many of the pieces were beautiful, but almost too elaborate for a first order. The reason being is we didn’t want to overwhelm our clients with jewelry that only few celebrities could afford. So, we revised the order and went through the catalog again. This time, we were a little more on par with affordable ends, but alas… the items we picked weren’t functional. Adam, as well as Nick and a couple others from BVLA were more than patient and helpful. Adam advised me that although he could make the pieces to our specifications, the pieces we picked weren’t intended for those purposes and would more than likely sit in a jewelry case forever. We then again went through the catalog and picked out a new combination of ends.  The reason it was challenging, was for one, I hadn’t ever seen anything like their pieces before, but also, there are so many options to choose from and each end could be made into a side facing threaded end, a forward facing end, pin end, different gauge threads, and different sizes of gems as well as a seemingly endless supply of precious gems. Definitely overwhelming at first, but Leslie and I were having so much fun going through all the options, it wasn’t draining by any means.

Adam took the liberty to remove items that were unrealistic and replaced them with items that were in high demand. With the final order we will have an elaborate set of options for your body piercing. Even nicer, is that we can also sit with you and customize a piece of jewelry for your needs. Now, our shop that is aimed at tailoring tattoos and body piercings for you. You’re an individual. You don’t want a tattoo that everybody has. You also don’t piercings that everybody has. Now, even though a few people may have a similar piercing as you, you can have a piece of jewelry very few people will have. I guarantee you will fall in love with these pieces. But, I imagine, you will fall in love with at least one piece specifically.

This new selection of body jewelry isn’t the kind of jewelry you’ll find at the mall. In fact, I doubt you’ll be able to find it anywhere around town. Maybe if other shops catch on as start ordering it, but we’ll see. Each piece is hand-made, hand-set and hand-polished in their studio by their talented family of jewelers with the highest quality precious metals and quality gems from the Los Angeles area. They also offer full legal insurance appraisals on request.

As you can probably tell, I’m very excited to start carrying this line of body jewelry and get the word out. I’m so grateful to everyone who has been spreading the word and telling their friends and family about Tailor Made Studio. In addition to this line of body jewelry, I have  another surprise in store for everyone as well.  I’m very proud to be dealing with the high end quality I’ve been striving to reach and it can only keep getting better.
